Nicholas Dockery, Founder & Chairman of the Board

Nicholas Dockery is an advocate for and supporter of individuals who have experienced traumatic events and are seeking to make meaningful change in their lives. He is committed to breaking down barriers and increasing access to effective therapies. He founded the Nicholas Dockery Foundation (NDF) to expand access to evidence-based additive and alternative therapies and programs. This mission was inspired by his own experiences in recovery following combat service and a volatile upbringing.

Nick is a decorated US Army Special Forces Officer and national security professional. Nick is a graduate of West Point and Yale University’s Jackson School of Global Affairs, and is currently pursuing an MBA at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. As a 2025 White House Fellow, he authored a government-wide implementation report of a Presidential Executive Order to improve economic opportunities for military and veteran families. He also serves as Senior Advisor to a DARPA-backed initiative that develops AI tools to help clinicians identify and support Veterans at risk of suicide.

His military service has been recognized with two Silver Stars for valor in combat, the Legion of Merit, three Bronze Star Medals, and two Purple Hearts for wounds received in action. Nick was named the Military Times Soldier of the Year, honored by his alma mater with the Association of Graduates’ Alexander R. Nininger Award for Valor at Arms, and received the Army’s General Douglas MacArthur Leadership Award.

Nick now brings his courage, vision, and compassion to advancing innovative therapies that help others rediscover and develop fulfillment in life.
